Job Description
Join an award-winning venue with picturesque views of the Dandenong Ranges! They are currently searching for their next functions and restaurant supervisor to assist in overseeing the day-to-day running of their bistro, coffee shop, kiosk, and functions.
About the Role:
The supervisor will assist and support the function and event manager, general manager, and restaurant manager where necessary and facilitate the smooth running of the cafe, bistro, restaurant, beer garden, and events.
- Planning of shifts, adjusting rosters, briefing and debriefing of staff.
- Controlling the flow of customers into the restaurant and flow of dockets into the kitchen.
- Ensuring bottlenecks are cleared quickly by moving staff from one section to another.
- Relationship management - managing our loyal customers and ensuring the highest levels of customer service.
- Meeting with staff to ensure staff development and resolution of conflict.
- Phone sales - Ensuring bookings are taken promptly and full communication is given to all departments.
- Work closely with the Head Chef and Restaurant Manager to ensure service is quick and customers are happy •Ongoing training of new and existing staff.
- Extra responsibilities like stock ordering, recruitment and supervising the training program can be taken on for the right candidate.
